Our History
1969
When Robert Bontkes set out to acquire land throughout Langley and Surrey, the two communities were still primarily open country.
Robert started his career in the late ‘60s with a focus on developing residential properties. Early projects included Heritage Mountain, Walnut Grove, Fraser Woods, and Clayton Village.
1974
After building a few industrial developments for others in Langley, Benchmark first offered industrial property at Langmark Industrial Centre, located on the Langley Bypass shortly after it was built.
1981
Commercial development started with Benchmark Plaza in Surrey. Businesses continue to thrive in the location along King George Boulevard.
1999 - 2012
Benchmark’s latest developments bring top-tier commercial office space to Langley and Surrey. Benchmark Business Centre, Walnut Grove Commerce Centre, and Langley Town Centre all add value and beauty to their surrounding communities.
2022 & Beyond
